What size is a Canadian passport photo?

50 mm wide × 70 mm tall, with your face measuring 31–36 mm from chin to crown. This size is also used for PR Card and citizenship applications. It's different from the standard 35×45 mm used by most countries — which is why generic passport photos get rejected.

Why does the back of the photo need a stamp?

IRCC requires proof the photo was taken by a commercial photographer. The photographer's name, complete studio address and the date taken must be stamped or handwritten on the back of each print. Photos without this are automatically rejected — image quality alone is not enough.

Can I take the photo myself and have you print it?

No — IRCC requires the photo to be taken by a commercial photographer, not just printed by one. Our at-home session satisfies this requirement fully: we take the photo, print it and stamp it as the registered studio.

What about the guarantor signature?

For new adult passport applications, your guarantor must write "I certify this to be a true likeness of [your name]" and sign the back of one photo. We leave clean space for this. Renewals generally don't need a guarantor — but the studio stamp is always mandatory.

What size is a Canada visa photo?

Visitor visas (TRV), work permits and study permits use 35×45 mm. We produce both print and digital versions, correctly sized for IRCC online portals.

Can I wear glasses?

We recommend removing them. Glare, tinted lenses or frames covering the eyes are the most common glasses-related rejection reasons. Removing glasses eliminates the risk entirely.
